Welsh harpist Amanda Whiting has very quickly established herself as an essential part of the UK jazz scene.

Touring extensively with her own band as well as with Matthew Halsall, Chip Wickham, DJ Yoda and Rebecca Vasmant, she endlessly delivers immense beauty and depth from the stage. Add to that two incredibly successful albums for the legendary Jazzman record label and a nomination for Instrumentalist of The Year at the Jazz FM awards and you get a picture of a hugely important talent.

As Amanda prepares to release her third solo album, Albert’s Favourites have partnered with her to release a collection of remixes from the beautiful Lost In Abstraction record.

The second remix from her EP comes from Scrimshire, taking the beautiful solo-harp piece Discarded it and reimagining it as an orchestral epic.

"We've been discussing projects for a while and trying ideas and I think this feels like one of those kind of tests to see where we could go together. I love Amanda and her sound and it's such an exciting thing to get to reimagine her ideas in my own way".
